On January 28, 2021, the 10th China Charity Festival Awards Ceremony kicked off in Shanghai. This year is the tenth year of the Charity Festival. In the form of a special ceremony, this year’s Festival reviewed the ten-year history of the Charity Festival, fully demonstrated the achievements of charity practice, and discussed the new propositions of charity in the "post-pandemic era", and paid tribute to practitioners. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) won the Charity Person of the Year Award in this year’s Charity Festival.

Dr. Zhou has been committed to China's biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and public welfare activities in the field of ecological civilization construction.

He has carried out research and practice of ecological civilization in various places and has achieved a series of achievements. He proposed "Human-based Solutions" (HbS), advocating to give full play to everyone's individual strength to influence more people to change from themselves-to practice a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, resource-saving and waste-reducing lifestyle, fully mobilize the public to participate in the efforts to protect the ecological environment. He carried out the "Ecological Civilization Lecture" in colleges and universities, and successively shared the core content and latest developments in the field of ecological civilization research and sustainable development practice in many universities at home and abroad. He opened an "Ecological Civilization" column on the CBCGDF Media platform, combining practical cases to address current disadvantages, and commenting on the problems in the promotion of ecological civilization in various fields such as society, economy, culture, tradition, and environmental protection. He also carried out ecological civilization thought training for local leaders... Since serving as the Secretary-General of CBCGDF in 2014, Dr. Zhou has always been on the front line of China's ecological public welfare undertakings, and he can always be seen in ecological-related public welfare activities.

This Charity Festival lasted for two days, including the opening ceremony, plenary meeting, special forum, charity brand exhibition, ten-year festival and other theme activities. A number of special events such as project roadshows and report releases were also held. More than 1,000 representatives from the public welfare, business, academic, and media fields participated, and more than 200 top guests served as keynote guests. More than 300 media have been deeply involved, and more than 20 million people have influenced and interacted.
