Recently, Prof. Geoffrey Lipman, Co-founder of the Strong Universal Network (SUNx) has written to Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) to attend the forthcoming SUNx Climate Friendly Travel Think Tank

The event will take place at Qawra, Malta, February 24th-28th, covering wide issues of Climate Crisis and Travel & Tourism, Travel & Tourism Transformation, Climate Neutral 2050 proof for Paris 1.5, Climate Friendly Travel, etc.

SUNx has created a systemic approach to climate resilience for Travel & Tourism through the Impact-Travel framework and helps communities align with Paris climate targets and related Sustainable Development Goals.

According to the AP news, the Government of Malta through the Ministry of Tourism reached an agreement with SUNx to take the lead in responding to the global crisis of climate change. And the Global SUNx Center for Climate Friendly Travel will initiate actions to address this threat from the perspective of the travel industry. Minister for Tourism Konrad Mizzi mentions that "there is growing international consensus for a strong shift from talk to action. This is amply evidenced by the political action of the EU is raising the stakes these past few weeks by announcing the allocation of 1 in every 4 euro of the next budget to climate resilience."
