The mayor is highly concerned about the emergent pangolin rescue by China Biodiversity and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). He organized a seminar and invited CBCGDF's delegate to attend and discuss this issue.

Before that, CBCGDF introduced the general situation about this pangolin rescue task to the director of the local Department of Forestry on April 12. After getting the support from the heads, CBCGDF applied an area of woodland (which is adjacent to a natural reserve and has convenient transportation) as the pangolin rescue and release area. CBCGDF facilitated the whole process. Now, the experts of CBCGDF are well prepared, and they can immediately carry out the task of pangolin rescue and release, contributing to the ecological civilization construction.

On April 14, CBCGDF's delegates arrived at 11 pm. On the second day, the delegates attend the working meeting to discuss the details with 7 heads of Citi Hall Office, local Forestry Department, the Rehabilitation Center and the Office of Wildlife Protection. The delegates fully elaborated how to conduct an emergent rescue, express the wish to set up Pangolin Protection Reserve.

CBCGDF's delegated hurried to take the plane in the evening of April 15 and arrived at Guangzhou at 4 am. They were invited to participate in a pangolin rescue seminar held by Guangdong Wildlife Rescue Center.
