On March 15th, the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region met several experts and stated in advance that CBCGDF and their relationship of cooperation could not express their opinions and let the experts give the conclusions of the meeting. But at the end of the meeting, the experts invited the leaders of the Protection Department of the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to attend the meeting and asked them how to write expert opinions and how to draw conclusions - the result is clear: The Chinese pangolin, which has been kept in the rescue center of the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for a while, cannot be wild released. The scientific research work of pangolin, which has been talking for a long time, has already been said a lot - Finally they promised to give a little excrement of the pangolin, but we have to sign it first to revoke the lawsuit.

Adult pangolins can live normally with carrying their cubs, and the 40-gram field-release tracker recommended by CBCGDF is claimed to be too heavy and therefore not feasible by the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They invited experts including many who were the beneficiaries of the pangolins from them, or those who were close to them, but lacked knowledge related to the wild release of pangolins. – They do not invite experts who have real experience in the field. In the meantime, after the meeting, these experts privately told us that the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is simply rambling.

It is said that the head of The Guangxi Terrestrial Wildlife Rescue and Epidemic Disease Detection Center is undergoing an inspection of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and individuals from the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are still endorsing him. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation is a national first-class society. In order to protect pangolins, applied for wild release and technology cooperation, it has been several years since then, and the wild release still has not been realized. Even applying for a little excrement for scientific research has not been realized. Many economic entities similar to the “steel company” can sign a so called “Fostering for Breeding” agreement with The Guangxi Terrestrial Wildlife Rescue and Epidemic Disease Detection Center without any license for domestication and reproduction, without any scientific research and technical support. And for this reason, many living pangolins have been obtained by these entities from the Department of Forestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Why? Do the related responsible people not understand? A series of related events have shown that the Guangxi Terrestrial Wildlife Rescue and Epidemic Disease Detection Center also has serious problems - to find out who are really behind the scenes; and to find out those who really fait to do their duty and corrupt. We sincerely hope that the relevant departments can take action and perform their duties.
