On the morning of the 9th of January, the delegation from CBCGDF visited the old course of the Yellow River in Xiao County, Anhui Province.

The Old Course of the Yellow River in Xiao County is in the towns of Liujiao, Yanglou and Xinzhuang in Xiao County, Anhui Province. It is based on the ancient Yellow River and belongs to a riverside wetland. It enters from Dangshan County in Anhui Province in the northwest, and departs from Xuzhou in Jiangsu Province in the southeast, the river's original style remains intact. The Yellow River's ancient history covers an area of about 22.8 square kilometers, 15.6 kilometers long.

The flowing water of the Yellow River originates from the natural precipitation, there is no city or industrial waste water in the vicinity, the surface is clear, and there is an excellent ecological environment around it.

The postdoctoral Meng Qinghui of Beijing Elk Ecological Experiment Center took water samples during the visit.
