On the morning of July 27, 2023, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and other researchers visited an important transmission and distribution line section where the oriental white stork nests on the line tower in the Qiqihar area.

During the field trip, the inspectors saw an injured oriental white stork. The accompanying director of the reserve wanted to enter the wetland to rescue the oriental white stork immediately.

The research team contacted the local public security and forestry and grassland departments in no time. The local forestry public security personnel rushed to the scene at once and quickly carried out rescue work.
