Since 2020, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCDGF) Baiyangdian Wetland Natural Science Popularization Children Base and the Baiyangdian Wetland Ecological Wildlife Conservation Volunteer Team have been paying attention to the recycling of paper-based composite packaging such as milk boxes since 2020, and promoting the recycling and reuse of these packaging.

Participants in this milk carton recycling event include two primary schools in the local urban area, one primary school in the township, one primary school in Baoding City and three schools in Shijiazhuang, as well as cake bakeries and milk tea shops. They have recycled more than 640,000 milk cartons in total, which have been received by recycling companies.
