At the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) held in Montreal from December 7th to 19th, 2022, on December 16th, the Delegation of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) presented two pictures to Ms. Elizabeth Murema, Executive Secretary-General of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and representatives from the Biodiversity Hub International(in Africa). The two students who provided the pictures are Wang Qirui and Huang Jiayi.

The theme of this painting provided by Wang Qirui, is Bringing Good Luck in Succession. In Chinese, "Lotus", homophone with the Chinese character "succession" is a symbol of good luck. Chinese people like to use lotus to express sincere and good wishes to relatives and friends.

The theme of this painting provided by Huang Jiayi, is Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum - Four Gentlemen of Flowers in China. These four flowers embody the four qualities of tenacity, nobility, justice, and humility respectively, and thus become part of many Chinese works of art such as poetry, songs, calligraphy, and paintings, etc.
