Biodiversity is the base of life on the earth and the fundamental guarantee for the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

Chenzhou is located on the 25°north latitude line and belongs to the subtropical climate zone. The Yangtze River and the Pearl River diverge here, and the Nanling Mountains and Luoxiao Mountains crisscross here. It is known as the "Southern Animal and Plant Gene Bank", and is one of the regions with the richest biodiversity in China.

Chenzhou Biodiversity Conservation Association was established in November 2021. With the tenet of "mountains and waters nurture all things, and all things are the same home", the Association has made efforts to realize the harmonious coexistence between man and nature by promoting the concept of biodiversity protection, gathering protection forces, and improving the public's awareness of ecological protection.

The research concept of this Association for youth environmental education is consistent with the core ideas supported and disseminated by the "Green Young" Bases of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). After being informed of the application requirements of CBCGDF "Green Young" Bases, the Association submitted the application materials to CBCGDF. After the review of CBCGDF expert team, it finally passed the application of this Association, and was approved to join the "Green Young" Bases, becoming the 19th member of the "Green Young" (GY 019) Base.
