Recently, at the invitation of the Species Survival Committee (SSC) of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Deputy Secretary-General and staff of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) participated in the discussion on reassessment of IUCN Red List of threatened birds.
In response to the problem that some bird species in the current IUCN Red List may have information that is not up-to-date and inconsistent with the actual situation, the International Department of CBCGDF is openly soliciting proposals for a revision of the status of IUCN Red List bird species from the whole society, conservationists, scholars, experts, citizen scientists, social organizations, etc. We expect interested parties to submit proposals as soon as possible.
In the proposal, please briefly describe the following information:
(1) Recommended status change of the bird species and at least one reference or source that provide evidence to support the reassessment.
(2) Each proposal will be reviewed by BirdLife International's Red List Panel.
(3) If possible, please send your proposal in English; Deadline: July 25. Proposals should be sent to: v25@cbcgdf.org
