In China, whether in poetry or paintings, the figures of birds run through all aspects of Chinese history and culture. Birds are the second most numerous vertebrates on earth. There are more than 10,000 species of birds in the world, and more than 1,400 species have been recorded in China. Birds are an important part of biodiversity and also the ecological messengers of nature. They are the natural enemies of many pests and can effectively maintain ecological health.

As the second folk bird museum led and promoted by Mr. AI Yakang, Ai Yakang Wild Bird Ecological Museum integrates exhibition, popular science and cultural display, and is a modern museum with immersive experience and interactive functions. It plays a positive role in promoting bird watching & protecting and enhancing the popularization of bird knowledge to the public. Mr. Ai Yakang, coming from Daliang Mountain, is an entrepreneur of Yi nationality. He has always devoted himself to birds and ecological protection with the idea of public welfare. He hopes to contribute to the protection and prosperity of birds in the world, and plans to complete an Encyclopedia of World Birds in his lifetime, which is worthy of admiration.
