Let Your Voices Be Heard: An Invitation to A People’s Summit in 5.22 World Biodiversity Day
2022/4/20 12:02:00 本站

"Building a common future for all life" is the slogan for the 2022 International Day for Biodiversity. Sustainable development faces multiple challenges, and biodiversity is the answer to many. From nature-based solutions to climate, health issues, food and water security and sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity is the foundation on which we rebuild.

The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation will carry on the action from last year and host the 5.22 International Biodiversity Summit - For Nairobi and Kunming.

We hereby invite you, an important member of the conservationists’ groups, to join the meeting.

This meeting will be a prelude to the Nairobi WG-2020 meeting and the second phase of CBD COP15. Four panels will discuss controversial topics: digital sequence information, soil and agriculture, wetland biodiversity, and illegal wildlife trade.

In addition to making suggestions for the post-2020 global biodiversity framework, this meeting will also widely listen to the opinions of experts, scholars, enterprises and environmentalists from non-CBD parties.

This conference adheres to the spirit of freedom, openness, publicity and people's participation, and will form our very own outcome document by drawing on opinions from all walks of life.

If we can't meet in Kunming, then we hope to hear from you here.
