South China Agricultural University Finds Pangolin as a Potential Intermediate Host for the Novel Coronavirus 2019-nCoV

In the early morning of February 7, 2020, South China Agricultural University release news that a latest research conducted jointly by scientific researchers including Professor Shen Yongyi and Professor Xiao Lihua of South China Agricultural University and Lingnan Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Guangdong Laboratory, and Yang Ruifu, the Researcher from the Military Medical Research Institute of the PLA Academy of Military Sciences, as well as Chen Wu, the Senior Veterinarian at the Research Department of Guangzhou Zoo shows that: Pangolin is a potential intermediate host for the novel coronavirus. This latest discovery will be of great significance for the prevention and control of the origin of 2019-nCoV.
