On July 19, 2019, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was invited to give a special report on the ecological civilization of the county-level cadres at the Chongren County Administrative Conference Center with the theme of "Ecological Civilization Times, Practice of Ecological Civilization Case Analysis". The deputy secretary of the county party presided over the report meeting, and members of the relevant county leadership team attended the report meeting. The main responsible persons and propaganda committees of the townships and towns, the cadres at the department level and above, and the heads of the provincial and municipal units in the county attended the meeting.
Chongren County is called Bashan County in ancient times and now belongs to Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Chongren County has a long history. In recent years, Chongren County has actively pursued development. It has been included in the policy pattern of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone, the West Coast Economic Zone, and the National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone. The county is famous for the national high-quality commodity grain base and the national geographical indication product Chongren Hemp Chicken.
Dr. Zhou began his special report with "The Earth has experienced five major extinctions and four civilizations in human history." Through in-depth language, exciting questions, vivid examples, and in-depth analysis of the current issues involving resources, environment, ecology, etc., it has great significance for the county-level party members and leading cadres in-depth study to understand Xi Jinping's new era of ecological civilization ideas, establish correct political achievements and the concept of view and green development. At the same time, it effectively enhances the government's ideological understanding of ecological civilization construction, and thus stimulates the concept of ecological priority and green development to lead high-quality development, with a view to coordinating the endogenous driving force for the construction of “provincial ecological civilization demonstration county” in Chongren.
Dong Yunhua, deputy secretary of the county party committee, stressed in the summary of the report that all levels and departments should strengthen political positions and profoundly understand Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization construction in the new era. Keep in mind that General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the spirit of Jiangxi's important instructions and did a good job in creating various provincial-level ecological civilization demonstration counties; it is necessary to seize the key points of work and effectively fight the battle against pollution. Continuously increase the enforcement of environmental protection, "zero tolerance" for polluting the environment and destroying ecological behavior; update the development concept and further improve the level of ecological environment management.
At the beginning of July 2019, after the exploration and support of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), the traditional famous Chinese agricultural products brand and national geographical indication products Chongren Hemp Chicken of the County established a CBCGDF “China Conservation Area for Hemp Chicken at Chongren” (CCAfa), to protect this places features poultry, that has a legendary breeding history since the end of the Tang Dynasty. The establishment of this CCAfa site is conducive to the protection of the genetic diversity of global agricultural resources, and this has also been affirmed by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
