Soil pollution risk control and restoration is an important task to protect public health and promote the sustainable use of soil resources. In order to accelerate the process of green and low-carbon development in the field of soil pollution risk control and restoration, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment drafted of the “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Green and low-carbon Risk Control and Restoration of Soil pollution (Draft for comments) and issued a notice on June 26 to solicit public comments.
The Legal Work Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attaches great importance to this, and after careful research, proposed 12 suggestions to the Department of Soil Ecology and Environment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
The CBCGDF Legal Work Committee has put forward detailed revision suggestions in the following chapters: Vigorously cultivate the concept of green and low-carbon restoration; Systematically promote the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction; Continue to promote the practice of green and low-carbon restoration; Gradually establish a green and low-carbon restoration evaluation system; Accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of soil restoration; Improve the level of green and low-carbon restoration in the whole process; Comprehensively strengthen the scientific and technological support for green and low-carbon restoration; and improve the safeguard measures for green and low-carbon restoration.
