In response to the solicitation for comments and suggestions about the National Standard of “General Rules for Quality of Mooncakes” issued by China General Chamber of Commerce, One Health Committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), suggest that industrial trans fats and trans fatty acids should be included in the mandatory labeling, and it should be clearly stipulated that industrial trans fats and trans fatty acids should be excluded from the list of raw materials for mooncakes.

“One Health” is a comprehensive and cooperative method, aiming at sustainably balancing and optimizing the health of human beings, animals and ecosystems. One Health is closely related to biodiversity protection, green development and public health. This concept has been verified in world health, food safety, environment and economy. At present, the One Health working method is widely adopted in the world, and it is also highly praised by WHO, in order to prevent and control all kinds of zoonotic diseases, such as Covid-19 epidemic and rabies, and to safeguard the health of people, animals and the environment.
