On October 24, 2022, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Standards Committee received a letter review notice from the Secretariat of the Quality Management in E Commerce (TC563) on the national standard "Guidelines for Quality Risk Assessment of Imported Commodities in Cross-Border E-Commerce".

The CBCGDF Standards Committee hosted a meeting to study and review the standard draft, and formed a series of amendments and submitted timely them to the TC563 Secretariat. On November 15, 2022, the CBCGDF Standards Committee received the TC563 Secretariat's handling of the letter review comments, of which 5 comments were adopted, and the specific comments involved the following chapters: scope, risk assessment principles, overview, and risk analysis.

In recent years, cross-border e-commerce trade has developed rapidly and has become an important part of the new economy. The establishment of a corresponding commodity quality risk assessment mechanism will help reduce the risks and costs of government regulation and business operations brought about by information asymmetry, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. The CBCGDF Standards Committee will continue to pay attention to the drafting, review and release of TC563-related standards, and provide support and assistance for the establishment and improvement of e-commerce standardization working mechanisms.
