On October 21, 2022, the CHINA-EU International Conference on Climate Change Legislation was successfully held online. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) made a keynote speech on climate governance law and practice, with the title "Equality, Human-based Solutions, Consumers' Side and Standards — Climate Justice and Chinese NGO's Efforts".

The speech started with "what is climate justice". Dr. Zhou shared his discussion with Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs of Columbia University on "Pakistan and Fight for climate justice”, and further explained the profound connotation of "climate justice" from the perspective of "carbon equality for all" and what we should do to Pakistan's carbon crisis and climate disaster. He believed that the real “Climate Justice” is "We're born equal of carbon: carbon rights and carbon responsibilities". We should all change our lifestyles and reduce our carbon emissions while improving our lives, to actively participate in the rescue of the global climate crisis.

In the speech, Dr. Zhou also introduced human-based solutions, errors in the current calculation method of per capita carbon emissions, carbon equality, new fashion (take Macron wearing a turtleneck sweater as an example), environmental public interest lawsuits against excessive packaging of moon cakes, public participation in national standards, climate education and youth participation, etc.
