Recently, Beijing Water Authority has publicly solicited opinions on the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the River and Lake Chief System in Beijing (Draft for Comments)". As a national first-level society and a social organization dedicated to protecting the ecological environment for 37 years, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attached great importance to this. CBCGDF Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON) Working Group actively responded to the call and offered suggestions as follows:
lIt is suggested to increase the emphasis on "biodiversity" and incorporate it into the evaluation index system of the river chief system.
lIt is recommended to add "regulate release behavior" and write "prevention of invasive alien species" into the document.
lIt is proposed to add a chapter on the management of "illegal fishing".
lIt is suggested to add "set a slogan board: prohibiting the release of animals" in "VII:Strengthening law enforcement supervision".
