Faced with the different situations of large and small enterprises, how do we to make choices and achieve balance when constructing ESG criteria? How do we make enterprises pay attention to and adopt ESG criteria when they are not enforced and do not have strong influence like large international investment institutions? Zhou Jinfeng shared the solutions adopted by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF).

"First, we need to make it clear that this is a good and important thing which deserves us to put aside disputes and controversy. The CBCGDF's standards can be a good demonstration and starting point for everyone to refer to and improve. Second, we should do this without utilitarian attitude. Our standards are open to all enterprises in China, but no utilitarian promotion and application will be carried out.

To do ESG with Chinese characteristics is one of our directions. Making it a guideline and have demonstration significance for both large and small enterprises is our focus. ESG is international and we want to be highly aligned with the international evaluation system, while highlighting our concept of ecological civilization and actively promoting our views on the environment to the international community.
