ZHOU Jinfeng Gave a Special Lecture to the Ecological Environment Department of Guangxi Autonomous Region

In order to further strengthen the conservation of biodiversity and accelerate the construction of a modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, on June 27, 2022, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangxi Autonomous Region specially invited Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, secretary-general of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development FoundationCBCGDF, to give a speech for the workers of the ecological environment system in the whole autonomous region.

In the lecture, Dr. Zhou explained from the fields of law, morality, philosophy, system, standard, technology, culture, art and so on, focusing on "what is civilization" and "why is ecological civilization", combined with rich practical cases, how to advance in simple terms the construction of ecological civilization.

Dr.Zhou pointed out that the earth is facing the sixth mass extinction. The key to the construction of ecological civilization is to conserve the biodiversity, including animals, plants, microorganisms, their genes, and protect the complex ecosystems that they form with their living environments. It is necessary to respect nature, conform to nature, and protect nature, systematically carry out biodiversity conservation from five aspects: biodiversity survey, assessment, adaptation, offset, and restoration, and strive to build a modernization where man and nature coexist in harmony.
