On the morning of March 31, 2022, the "Pure Plant-based Food Series Group Standards Seminar" organized by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF) Standards Committee and Huamang Working Committee was successfully held. The seminar invited 15 experts in the food industry to have in-depth exchanges and discussions on the two group standards of "China Pure Plant-based Food Standard -General Edition" and "China Pure Plant-based Food Standard -Special Edition".
Ma Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of CBCGDF, presided over the meeting. Jian Yi, the founder of CBCGDF Food Fund, gave an opening speech to introduce the two group standards. The experts agreed that the formulation of the two standards is very meaningful, and expressed their professional opinions and suggestions from the aspects of food, nutrition, fruits and vegetables, condiments, soy products and pickles, etc., It provides basis support for the revision and improvement of the two standards.
At the end of the meeting, Ma Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of CBCGDF, made three concluding remarks: First of all, I would like to thank experts in various fields of the food industry for their professional opinions and suggestions on the two standards, which we will seriously incorporate into the revision of the standard text. This seminar clarified a basic idea, especially the main links involved in classification and standards. The experts expressed their support for the formulation of the standard for pure plant-based food. We also hope to standardize the pure plant-based food through two standards, and have a relatively good development under the standardization; secondly, thank the experts for their modifications to the standard text and the connection what they proposed between this standard text and the other standards are also very important for us to improve the standard text; finally, the certification after the formulation and release of the pure plant-based food standard may be difficult. We hope to continue to receive the guidance and support from experts, and do a better job in the follow-up certification and implementation. Thanks again to the 15 experts who gave us very valuable opinions and suggestions!
