The United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development (2022 UN Ocean Conference) will be held from 27 June to 1 July 2022, in Lisbon, Portugal. As an accredited organization, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is applying for a side event.

Our topic is “How to conserve biodiversity while ensuring the development of new coastal wind energy? ——Promoting the synergies between SDGs 7, 13, 14 and 15”. We would like to invite friends and your prestigious organizations to participate in the endeavor.

The ocean covers 70 percent of the Earth’s surface, is home to up to 80 percent of all life in the world. It generates 50 percent of the oxygen we need, absorbs 25 percent of all carbon dioxide emissions and captures 90 percent of the additional heat generated from those emissions. It is the lungs of the planet.
