The ad hoc group ISO/TC 331/AHG 3 on protection, conservation and restoration which has been established after the first TC 331 plenary meeting (June-July 2021) aims at defining the scope of a future working group WG 3.

During the AHG 3 kick off meeting which took place on March 02, 2022, it was suggested to take contact with the proposer of the former proposal - Vegetation restoration and forest protection initiatives - in order to have more substantiated proposals / orientations. The proposal on Vegetation restoration and forest protection initiatives has been discussed during the 1st TC plenary on June-July 2021, And confirmed to be part of TC 331 scope.

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation will join the meeting as one of the partaker in the change of definitions and scope.
