As we verbally asked for some text on this to be added to our documentation first in the closing plenary on Thursday, then again on Friday, we would again ask your kind consideration and support for including the following text or its modification into the Political Statement:

"On this 50th anniversary of Stockholm72, we wish to honor and respect the memory of its Secretary General, and UNEP's first Executive Director Maurice Strong who was widely considered to be the driving force behind the success of the conference and it’s outcomes."
