A few days ago, Tianjin Binhai New Area invited Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) to conduct special counseling for the Binhai New Area District Committee Theory Learning Center Group.

Dr. Zhou highly affirmed the substantial contributions made by Tianjin and Binhai New Area in the protection of the ecological environment, especially the protection of the marine ecology at the meeting and built a marine life community closely around the ideas of ecological civilization.

In addition, Dr. Zhou used "Concept and Background of Ecological Civilization", "Characteristics and Development Paths of Ecological Civilization", "Circular Economy and Sustainable Development", "CBCGDF's Ecological Civilization Practice", and "Tianjin's Ecological Protection Focus: "Migratory birds + wetlands + oceans" and other contents as the topics, explained the background, characteristics and future development trends of ecological civilization through detailed data and case analysis in depth; as well as made suggestions and recommendations on the construction of ecological civilization in Binhai New Area and Tianjin from the entry points of marine ecological protection, wetlands and migratory bird protection.

Yang Maorong, deputy secretary and head of the Binhai New Area District Committee, said that in recent years, the Binhai New Area has scientifically planned the blueprint of the city's development in light of the standards of the Xiong'an New Area and Beijing's urban deputy center, highlighting green development and cluster development, resolutely fight the battle of pollution prevention and control, strengthen ecological construction and restoration and protection, especially strengthen the biodiversity protection of Beidagang wetlands and coastal beaches, and the promotion of  the construction of ecological civilization has achieved periodic outcomes.

Binhai New Area will firmly establish and actively implement the development concept of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", and firmly shoulder the political responsibility for the construction of ecological civilization, severely crack down on various illegal acts that damage the ecological environment, and resolutely win the Bohai Sea comprehensive control and ecological environmental protection.

The Binhai New Area also issued certificates of social supervision of wildlife protection in the Binhai New Area to the CBCGDF volunteers on the spot, and further strengthen the cooperation with the wildlife protection volunteers, explore the work mechanism of group prevention and group control for information sharing and joint protection, and gradually establish a wildlife protection model of “government-led, departmental coordination, social participation, and joint management” to form a powerful joint force for wildlife protection.
