The Ministry of Civil Affairs released news on the 12th that after investigation, the China Wildlife Protection Association set up “Frog breeding professional committee”, “Snake breeding professional committee”, “Giant salamander professional committee” and “Sturgeon professional committee” and other three-level branches under its branches “Protection, Breeding and Utilization Committee” and “Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Branch” in violations of the rules.

The above acts violate the provisions of Article 17 of the "Regulations on the Administration of Registration of Social Organizations" that "Branches of social organizations shall not establish branches". According to relevant regulations, the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued administrative warnings to the China Wildlife Protection Association and ordered it to cancel its illegally established branches. At the same time, according to the "Measures for the Management of Credit Information of Social Organizations", the Ministry of Civil Affairs will add the Association to the list of abnormal activities of social organizations since the effective date of the administrative penalty decision.
