Since the unsustainable industrial era, human beings are facing two major crises: the sharp decrease in biodiversity and global climate change. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF), has been committed to the work practice of biodiversity conservation and green development for many years, insisting on the way of respecting nature for biodiversity conservation, namely "natural-based solutions" and "human-based solutions", in order to achieve global sustainable development and take action to protect biodiversity. For example, the case of Nanhui Dongtan wetland proposed "returning farmland to wetland". Besides, the CBCGDF has established more than 120 China Conservation Areas throughout the country.
