Recently, the Research Dept. Of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation( CBCGDF) received a report letter from one of his volunteer, saying that in the Qinzhuang Forest Farm, Yuanyang County, Henan Province, a 70-acre locust forest that is 60 years old has gone in three days, and even the sand dunes where the locust forest grows will disappear continuously. According to the volunteer, Qinzhuang Forest Farm belongs to the ancient route of the Yellow River. Since ancient times, the wind and sand have been relatively large and the sand dunes have been continuous. In the 1950s and 1960s, in order to fix sand and prevent sand, Yuanyang County Forest Farm signed a contract with local villagers to plant acacia trees imported from abroad on the 10,000-mu sand dunes. But now, "the forest farms guarded by generations are dying step by step", volunteer called: "Who will save thousands of acres of locust trees in Yuanyang County, and who will protect the natural ecology of the Yellow River Ancient Road!" In response to this deforestation, it is hoped that the local government and relevant departments of Yuanyang County, Henan Province will pay attention to this incident, and CBCGDF will continue to pay attention to it.
