In response to the recent incident of black bear attacks on villagers in Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, the Jiangyou City Public Security Bureau issued a situation report on the official Weibo on May 18 that the black bear attack killed 3 people and the black bear has been killed on the scene.

 

According to the report, on the evening of May 17, 2020, a black bear attacked the villagers on the mountain trail of the ladder rock in Group 6 of Shenshui Village, Majiao Town.

 

At 19:00 on the evening of May 17, the villager Tang (female, 47 years old) of the 6th group in Shenshui Village, Majiao Town sent his second son (7 years old) to the school and passed the ladder rock at the weekend. The son escaped and called for help along the way. Tang's relative, Su (male, 55 years old), heard the news and went down the mountain to go to the ladder rock to find Tang and lost contact.

 

The report pointed out that after receiving the alarm, Jiangyou City Public Security Command Center (the city's emergency command center) ordered Majiao Town, Erlang Temple Police Station and 120 first aid early disposal, Tang was found dead, Su was missing. The leaders led by the Municipal People's Government immediately mobilized the public security special police, criminal police, forest police, and natural resources bureaus and other functional departments and grassroots persons to reinforce and handle, organize on-site sealing and control, personnel search and rescue, and people's danger avoidance. In the process of full search and rescue, Zhu (male, 68 years old), the leader of the 8th group in Shenshui Village of Majiao Town, was involved in the search and rescue. He was suddenly attacked by a black bear and died.

 

At 2:00 in the morning on May 18th, the search and rescue police and the black bear met directly. To ensure safety, they killed the black bear on the spot; At 6:00 in the morning, search and rescue personnel found that Su, who had lost contact, was dead; the black bear attack killed three people.
