The Director of Shenzhen Dapeng Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and her delegation visited CBCGDF to discuss sustainable tourism

Recently, Ms. Sa Lu, Director of Shenzhen Dapeng Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and her delegation visited CBCGDF and discussed with Qing Xiao, Deputy Secretary General of CBCGDF, on developing sustainable tourism and exploring environmental education.

 

Dapeng is the youngest ecological functional area in Shenzhen, which is located on an independent peninsula, with a land area of 302 square kilometers, the sea area of 305 square kilometers and a coastline of 133 kilometers. It is rich in biodiversity. Ms. Lu introduced the work priorities and efforts of Dapeng New District in cultural education and sustainable tourism based on its own characteristics, as well as the priorities for 2019.

 

Deputy Secretary-General Qing Xiao warmly welcomes the guests and appreciates the recent achievements of the district in public welfare. He introduced the relevant work of CBCGDF, especially in promoting ecological civilization construction, biodiversity protection, green development, and environmental education. Deputy Secretary-General Linda introduced the promotion of dark & starry sky tourism by the Dark & Starry Sky Committee association, as well as the efforts to promote the two CCAfas (China Conservation Areas) for Starry Skies in Tibet to be included in the international list.

 

The two sides intend to further discuss relevant work and carry out cooperation in areas of common interest in the future.
