Since the re-introduction of elk into China in 1985, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF) was founded. Today, the "Yo Yo Luming - series interview with CBCGDF experts " was officially launched online on March 18 in order to contribute to the promotion of biodiversity conservation and green development.
On March 2, 2022 at the United Nations Environment Assembly held in Nairobi, heads of state, environment ministers and other representatives from 175 countries adopted a historic resolution,which aims to conclude an internationally binding agreement on eliminating plastic pollution by 2024.
On March 18, CBCGDF invited Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, vice president and Secretary General of CBCGDF, Mr. Yang Changjiang, advisor of CBCGDF "plastic reduction" working group, and Mr. Wang Luhai, an enthusiastic citizen on environment protection to have a discussion on the topic of plastic pollution control and biodiversity conservation.
Topics included:
1. At the critical juncture of human history, from geological Anthropocene to ecological Anthropocene.
2. Waste incineration micro plastics, a blind area of plastic problems.
3. New concept of human development - sustainable survival.
4. Deep analysis on plastic pollution control - Zero plastic design.
