Coming Soon: Global "Top Visionary" Award Announcement and "Mama's Kitchen" Cooperation Seminar Organized by CBCGDF Good Food Fund
2021/1/4 16:09:00 本站

2020 is a very special year. It makes us realize the importance of building a resilient human society. Among them, building a good food system is crucial. In fact, the international community has realized that without changing our existing food system, we will not be able to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, nor will it be possible to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, and our civilization will also be in jeopardy.

In recent years, “food system transformation” has become the intersection of almost all major issues related to our future: climate change, biodiversity conservation, public health, food security, and social justice. To this end, the United Nations will host the first UN Food System Summit in the fall of 2021 to find and promote a turning point in the transformation of food systems around the world.

This summit has been supported by major UN agencies including WHO, UN FAO, WFP, UNEP and other UN member states, including China, and is a historic conference.

The "2050 Food System Vision Award" was launched under such a background, hoping to find the most imaginative, actionable and realizable food system reform plan on a global scale.

As one of the ten global awards and the only project team in East Asia to enter the finals, the Good Food Fund of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) invites you to join an exciting event on January 8, 2021, the 2050 Food System Vision Award's Global "Top Visionary" Award Results Announcement in China, and the "Mama's Kitchen" Future Cooperation Webinar.

We hope you will consider this invitation to discuss possible future cooperation between us and your organization on the "Mama’s Kitchen". For details of the meeting, please refer to the "Meeting Plan" below.

1. Background

The 2050 Food System Vision Prize was founded by the Rockefeller Foundation and is currently one of the world's most well-known awards in the field of food system transformation. The award was solicited from the world in 2019 to make our food system more nourishing and more regenerative and received more than 1,300 proposals from more than 4,000 organizations around the world.

After the selection of the semi-finals and the training of the final accelerator, the public welfare project "Mama's Kitchen to the Good Food Hub" project of the CBCGDF Good Food Fund stood out and became the world's top ten final project and the only one from East Asia.

On January 5, 2021, the Rockefeller Foundation will officially announce the final winning project of the "Top Visionaries" of the "Vision Award".
