On the morning of December 25th, Wang Xiaoye, the director of CBCGDF China Conservation Area for White Crane at Baiyangdian, learned that in the city of Cangzhou, a caring person found a red falcon that can’t fly near the unit warehouse, and specially contacted director Wang. Wang Xiaoye immediately launched a rescue program for wildlife conservation, immediately contacted the staff of the Cangzhou Wildlife Rescue Center and quickly established a rescue group. The news was sent back at noon that day and the red falcon had been rescued.

On the afternoon of December 26, director Wang Xiaoye received a phone call from the Forestry Administration. A caring person picked up an owl and needed help. Director Wang started the rescue of wild birds. However, the weather and traffic caused a lot of difficulty for this rescue, and eventually received the owl. Director Wang measured the weight of the owl and bought the beef to feed it and supplement it for nutrition. It was planned to release it three days later.

On December 27th, the cold air struck, and the temperature plummeted! When the vast majority of people shivered in the cold wave, the saplings of 44 acer pentaphyllum in Renqiu Pioneer Park were also fighting against the cold.

In the late spring of 2018, the activity of co-planting the critically endangered species acer pentaphyllum hosted by CBCGDF and "China Conservation Area for White Crane at Baiyangdian" was held in Renqiu, Hebei. Recently, 44 saplings of acer pentaphyllum protected by relocating have ushered in the first heavy snow in Renqiu Pioneer Park. Kids, parents, and volunteers took various measures to prevent cold and wind, which was an eye-opener. In addition, there were 11 tree seedling owners who took the initiative to choose not to take cold-proof measures, let the seedlings naturally spend the winter, and provide case data for the tree species to spend the winter in North China. Thanks to the owners of these saplings for their good intentions.
