Since April 2016, CBCGDF established its first CCAfa “China Conservation Area for Great Bustard at Changyuan”, up to now, CBCGDF has established more than CCAfa sites in Inner Mongolia, Tangshan City, Tianjin City, Shanghai City, Ningbo City, Tiaozini in Jiangsu Province, Baiyangdian in Xiongan New Area,  Xinjiang and other provinces and autonomous regions, covering the dark and starry sky and ancient trees, cultural relics, deserts and wetlands, endangered plant species Acer pentaphyllum, Przewalski's gazelle, Baiji dolphin, great bustard, pangolin, etc.

On December 9, 2018, CBCGDF "China Conservation Area for White Crane at Baiyangdian" and "China Conservation Area for Great Bustard at Tianjin" volunteers jointly patrolled at a local wintering habitat for great bustards. The "great bustard guardians" went to a local market to conduct a publicity campaign and distributed hundreds of promotional materials related to great bustard. In the process, the volunteers also obtained some valuable clues to provide a more targeted reference for the next the endangered species protection action to be carried out.

On the afternoon of the same day, the volunteers of the two CCAfa sites came to an orchard in the local area for patrol. They removed the remaining bird nets in six places, with a total length of more than 200 meters, and rescued 6 raptors hanging on the net, 6 gray magpies and 8 other kinds of birds.

This wildlife protection activity is the first-time collaboration between volunteers from CBCGDF Baiyangdian and Tianjin CCAfa sites. The solidarity protection model of mutual assistance is an important attempt to construct the CCAfa network. It strengthens the linkage and cooperation of the CCAfa region and provides a practical basis for more scientific and effective wildlife protection activities. CBCGDF will continue to promote the construction of the CBCGDF network in China, explore ways and means of sustainable development, and develop and strengthen the volunteer team. More and more caring people are welcome to join the line of "great bustard guardians", to contribute more to the conservation of biodiversity and to build a beautiful China.
