The middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River at the junction of Henan and Shandong provinces is the mid-line and important habitat for migratory birds in Asia. It is also the main wintering ground for the first-class protected birds in the state. In Dongming County, Shandong Province, tens of thousands of migratory birds have arrived in the wetlands. Driven by the interests, migratory birds have become the sinister flesh in the eyes of many unscrupulous people, making the crime of poisoning poaching birds rampant.

On November 29th, the volunteers of "China Conservation Area for great bustard at Changyuan" discovered a number of suspected dead poisoned bean geese during the Dongming patrol and cleaned up suspected poison baits in several places. From the situation of the scene and the previous case reports of the volunteers, it is suspected that the poachers use a large number of poisonous baits such as corn and wheat grains to kill migratory birds.

When the ecology is prosperous, civilization is prosperous, and protecting nature means protecting human beings. Here, CBCGDF hopes that the local authorities will attach great importance to the ecological destruction, and solve the case as soon as possible to ensure that migratory birds will survive the winter.
