Located in Dafeng, Jiangsu Province, “China Conservation Area for Dark Sky at Yeludang” is the third dark sky protection site established by the CBCGDF after Tibet Autonomous Region’s Ali and Naqu. It is also the first dark sky protection site in China’s coastal areas. In the Yeludang area, under the conditions of good night sky quality, you can clearly see the galaxy in the summer, the Orion constellation in the winter and the other main constellation of this area. Chasing the clear starry sky is the belief of many astronomy enthusiasts. Protecting the dark sky and protecting biodiversity is the tenet of the CBCGDF. The vast expanse of the galaxy is a magnificent view of everyone. If you have enough perseverance, you will encounter it. On the evening of October 31, the Yeludang received a group of " star-followers". They recorded the starry sky with the lens in their hands, and also gave us the opportunity to share the unique "night" of the Yeludang with everyone.

In April of this year, the CBCGDF Dark Sky Work Committee and the South Yellow Sea Biological Relics Research Institute established the "China Conservation Area for Dark Sky at Yeludang". It is the first dark sky protection site in China's coastal areas.

In the protection site, the lighting is specially treated, and it is used scientifically and reasonably. It seems that you can reach out and touch the beautifully stunning. Looking up at the stars and looking down at yourself, this is a great opportunity to talk to your own heart.

Chasing the clear starry sky is the belief of these astronomy enthusiasts. On the night of the Yeludang, you can sit still and rest whilst hear the sound of the insects, and watch the sacred stars which come into view. Recording with the lens allows the people around to better understand the nature and the astronomy, and it is a pleasure to lead more ordinary people to appreciate the beauty of nature and the stars.

Dark sky protection is part of the ecological environment. Now more and more people are paying attention to and participating in the dark sky protection, which has positive significance for the ecological protection of coastal areas. The starry sky landscape is considered an important natural heritage. In the near future, there will be facilities such as the Star and Space Literature Society, the Starry Sky Observatory, and the Star-loving Family Cabin Hotel.
