On the morning of April 29, the students of the law school, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, visited the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) to make research study on the environmental public interest litigation cases of air pollution. The Secretary-General of the CBCGDF cordially met the students and answered their questions in detail.

The Secretary-General of the CBCGDF introduced the sources of clues, the process of selecting cases, the criteria and the main basis to the students. In particular, he mentioned the platform for reporting environmental problems, developed jointly by the CBCGDF and the United Nations Development Program: www.hj123.org, which can facilitate the public to discover environmental violations. At the same time, it also can provide lawyer resources and fully reflects CBCGDF's principle of environmental public interest. In view of the difficulties of air pollution litigation concerned by students, the Secretary-General of the CBCGDF introduced the difficulties encountered in filing procedures, litigation time and proofs.

In addition, the Secretary-General of the CBCGDF has also made in-depth explanations on the judicial appraisal of environmental public interest litigation, the use, and supervision of environmental rehabilitation costs, based on the students' questions. And the Environmental Public Interest Litigation Law Compilation published by CBCGDF will be presented to the students, encouraging them to carry on the research topic in depth, hoping that they will be able to express their positive views and ideas in the future and strive to make the future better.
