On September 17, CBCGDF received the notice of acceptance of the case of the Guangyuan City Intermediate People's Court on the case of destroying the national nature reserve-panda habitat EPIL case.

 

In May of this year, CBCGDF received a report from a volunteer, reflecting that a company in Qingchuan County, Sichuan Province, was mining in the core area of the national nature reserve, seriously damaging the national treasure panda habitat.

 

After receiving the report, CBCGDF attached great importance and actively investigated the relevant situation. In August of this year, they went to the local investigation and submitted litigation materials.

Recently, CBCGDF received volunteers to report that a quarrying mine in Qingchuan County, Sichuan Province, was located in the National Nature Reserve, destroying the panda habitat. After receiving the report, CBCGDF attached great importance to it. On April 4, it applied to the Qingchuan County Environmental Protection Bureau, the Forestry Bureau, the Land and Resources Bureau, the Guangyuan Environmental Protection Bureau, the Forestry Bureau, and the Land and Resources Bureau for information disclosure. However, CBCGDF did not receive any reply.


According to the provisions of Article 24 of the Government Information Disclosure Regulations of the People's Republic of China, if a government agency receives an application for government information disclosure and can reply on the spot, it shall immediately reply. If the administrative organ cannot reply on the spot, it shall reply within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the application; if it is necessary to extend the time limit for reply, it shall be approved by the person in charge of the government information disclosure agency and inform the applicant to extend the reply. The maximum period may not exceed 15 working days. CBCGDF does not rule out the use of legal means to protect legitimate rights and interests.
