Lately, an article written by Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the SG of CBCGDF, about our “Environmental Public Interest Litigation” (EPIL) project and related cases has been published on the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)(original link: https://www.ipbes.net/node/16794, page screenshot below).

CBCGDF’s EPIL platform is proceeding smoothly so that public interest and environmental rights and interests can be effectively maintained.
 
Since January 1, 2015, the implementation of the new environmental protection law to help China’s environmental protection organizations to bring EPIL, CBCGDF has always been on the frontline in the maintenance of public interest and public environmental rights. Up to now, CBCGDF has launched more than 60 EPIL cases, of which the winning cases have widespread social influence, including the Henan Ancient Jujube Trees case, the “Toxic Tracks” case and the "Tengger Desert Pollution" case, etc.

IPBES is an intergovernmental body that assesses the state of biodiversity in response to policy-makers’ requirements and provides ecosystem services to society.
