On July 12, 2021, CBCGDF received the Letter of Proposal for Supporting Prosecution from Wuwei people's Procuratorate, which is about CBCGDF suing Minqin Rongda Mining Co., Ltd. for ecological damage.

Statement of the Letter of Proposal for Supporting Prosecution: Wuwei people's Procuratorate found that China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation filed a civil public interest lawsuit against the case of illegal construction of bridge by Minqin Rongda Mining Co., Ltd., in performing procuratorial public interest litigation duties. The court reviewed the case in accordance with the law and decided to support the prosecution.

After examination, it is found out that: the Minqin Rongda Mining Co., Ltd. has built and put into using a bridge in Hongyashan reservoir (the river course of Shiyang River Basin enters the downstream of the reservoir intersection) in Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, without carrying out environmental impact assessment according to law. The bridge was used for transporting calcium carbide and other chemical raw materials, which will cause spillage and leakage, affecting the water body and environment of Hongyashan reservoir and damage the social and public interests.

The above facts were confirmed by documentary evidence, on-site photos and video data.

We hereby submit to the people's Court of mining area of Gansu Province this Letter of Proposal for Supporting Prosecution, to seek for support for China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation to file a lawsuit against Minqin Rongda Mining Co., Ltd..
