On October 13th, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received news: On March 28, the major and sudden environmental pollution case of Molybdenum tailing in Yichun, which lasted five months, was finally officially accepted by the Yichun Intermediate People's Court of Heilongjiang Province.

On March 28, Yichun Luming Mining Co., Ltd. broke out the Molybdenum tailing leakage accident, which caused the largest leakage of tailings in China in the past 20 years, the most difficult emergency response, and the extremely difficult environmental restoration in the later period event.

CBCGDF paid close attention at the beginning of the incident, and immediately launched an investigation. After that, CBCGDF formally filed an environmental public interest litigation (EPIL) with the Yichun Intermediate People's Court on May 12.

CBCGDF will continue to report on the progress of this case.
