On November 29, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received a written response from the People's Procuratorate of Ganzhou City. The reply stated that a letter from the CBCGDF regarding the application as a plaintiff in a civil public interest lawsuit for illegal exploitation of tombarthite by Zhong Chengfei and others to damage the environment has been forwarded to the relevant departments for review and processing, and the results of the processing will be replied back in time.

Zhong Chengfei and others illegally exploited tombarthite, causing the loss of tombarthite mineral resources, destroying the ecological environment, and infringing social public interests. CBCGDF learned from the announcement of the People ’s Procuratorate of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, on the collection of plaintiffs of environmental civil public interest lawsuits, and wrote a letter to the People ’s Procuratorate of Ganzhou City on November 14 to apply as the plaintiff of Zhong Chengfei and others who illegally exploited tombarthite and destroyed environmental civil public interest litigation.
