On December 3, 2018, the CBCGDF Hainan project team went into the Longfeng Experimental Primary School in Haikou City to carry out the fifth series of “Hainan Youth Environmental Science Knowledge into the Campus” series of environmental protection theme publicity activities. The event was widely reported by the Hainan Provincial Radio and Television General Station Public Channel, Youth Channel, Haikou Radio and Television Station, Haikou Daily, and Southern Metropolis Daily.

Since its inception, CBCGDF's Green Youth Hainan Base has hosted a number of youth environmental protection science knowledge activities into the campus. In addition, in order to further promote the protection of the coastal wetland ecology in Hainan Province, CBCGDF established the “China Conservation Area for wetland at Dongzhaigang”(CCAfa) and cooperated with the university organizations of Hainan Province through the Green Great platform to make Green Youth and Green Great act cooperatively. Together, we will further promote the eco-environmental concepts of “Reducing plastics, picking up plastics”, waste classification and recycling, so that students can realize that the protection of the environment is just around us through practical actions.

The event was held in conjunction with the UNFCCC COP24. The natural environment around Hainan is located by the seaside, and it is more significant to feel the impact of climate change. CBCGDF hopes that through these public welfare activities, the participation and efforts of Green Great and Green Youth will inspire and drive the whole society, so that every student and their families will pay attention to climate change and participate more broadly in the environmental protection education actions in favor of the construction of an ecological civilization.
