During this period, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), will attend and give a speech for the young leaders.

The release of the plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is one of the most exciting developments to happen in the region in decades. Can it be the basis to transform a region that has for three decades been called the factory of the world to become the beacon of China’s eco-civilization aspirations? Can it be the world’s model for an Eco-Civilization Megapolis?

If so organizations, whether in business, government or civil society, will need to have a unifying vision so as to be able to define this aspiration and thereby grasp the opportunities and help create what would be a world first.

With that vision and need in mind, GIFT is launching an exciting new initiative: The Greater Bay Area Young Leaders Programme (GBA YLP). Its purpose will be to explore how innovation to create prosperity and economic development is driven by the most critical of all objectives: elevating the quality of life both in Hong Kong and the wider region, and thus proving a unique and uniting perspective to the question of what the Greater Bay Area can and should mean for its residents. Participants will have the unique opportunity to discuss the Greater Bay Area in terms of this unifying vision and the guiding principles which should anchor the innovation models and concrete actions that will accompany investment decisions.
