Recently, after the preliminary evaluation of materials and the on-site defense evaluation of the expert committee, in the evaluation of the 2019 Society Public Service Capacity Enhancement Project organized by the Chinese Association of Science and Technology (CAST), the "Internationalization of Science and Technology Awards (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN02)" and the "Group Standard Demonstration Society (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN01)" applied by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) have all passed two rounds of evaluation successfully.
On June 27th this year, the Chinese Association of Science and Technology (CAST) issued the "2019 The Notice on the Application for the Promotion of the Public Service Capability of the Society" to the national association, the society, the secretariat of the association and the departments of the association of science and technology of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"). According to the "Notice", in order to carry out the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress's Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the CPC, and in accordance with the overall plan of the "Service Development Year" of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology, the associations should be guided to actively participate in the "Million" service area development activities, mobilize and organize national science and technology workers to advance into the main battlefield of economic construction, and at the same time play a better role in promoting technological and economic integration and serving the country's social governance. Therefore, the China Association of Science and Technology (CAST) has organized a special project on 2019 Society Public Service Capacity Enhancement Project.
The sub-projects collected by 2019 Society Public Service Capacity Enhancement Project are divided into four directions, namely, the Group Standard Demonstration Society (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN01), The Internationalization of Science and Technology Awards (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN02), the Society's Normalization of Government Transfer Functions (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN03), and the Society's Public Service Theory Research and Support (Project No. 2019GGFZ-CN04).
After careful previous research and active preparation, the CBCGDF declared two sub-projects to the Chinese Association of Science and Technology: CBCGDF's "Eco-civilization and Green Development Series Award" in the direction of "Science and Technology Award Internationalization", and "the Green Meeting Index (GMI) Group Standards" in the direction of "Group Standards Demonstration Society". By the beginning of August, the two sub-projects declared by the CBCGDF had passed the first round of material preliminary examination and the second round of project declaration on-site defense smoothly.
By the organizational implementation plan of the CAST's 2019 Society Public Service Capacity Enhancement Project, the next two-level evaluation of related projects will be finalized by the CAST based on comprehensive consideration of the results of the first two rounds of evaluation. The project undertaking unit will then organize the project implementation in strict accordance with the terms of the contract and submit the corresponding project summary report and materials reflecting the project achievements before December 31st, 2019. Outstanding projects in this year's project review will receive the priority support for this project in the following year.
