CBCGDF's Zhou Jinfeng was Recommended to IUCN President on Director General Nomination

Recently, CBCGDF was informed that its Secretary General Dr. Zhou Jinfeng was endorsed by a former United Nation's staff, recommending him to be considered in the nomination of next IUCN's Director General.

 

International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), established in 1948, is an international organization working in the field of nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Its mission is to "influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable". It's the world's most well-known and respectable conservation organization.

 

In Feb 2019, IUCN Director General Inger Andersen has been appointed to the post of Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) by the United Nations General Assembly.
