10:00am, Nairobi-Dr.Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of CBCGDF, along with a colleague Jane Zhang, heads to the UN compound in Nairobi for the Opening Plenary of the UN Environment Assembly held in Conference Room 2 from 10:00 - 13:00 on 11 March.

H. E. Mr. Siim V. Kiisler, Minister of Environment of Estonia and President of the UN Environment Assembly, will open the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly. The Assembly will address the theme, “Innovative Solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable consumption & production”. The duration of the session will be five days. The proceedings of the plenary meetings of the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly, including the high-level segment, will be webcasted to the public.

This year’s theme will provide us a framework for upgrading the global economic systems into more sustainable ones that conserve the ecological system and bring the humankind closer for a better future.

Just as Mr. Siim Kiisler said, “We are on a journey that we must make together...As never before, the time to act is now”.
