It's interesting that many Chinese hotels love plastic decoration over real plants. But the fashion is dangerous too. Here comes a recent fire disaster report, indicating it was those Plastic Greens ignited by short-circuited fan coil unit and spread into a huge conflagration. Combustions of plastics is accompanied by heavy smoke that chokes people.

On Aug. 25th, 2018, a fire accident at a Hot Spring Hotel in Harbin City (northern China's Heilongjiang Province) resulted in 19 deaths and 23 injuries. A following in-depth investigation report released in February shows that 400 square meters were burned, and the direct economic loss amounted to 25.04 million RMB. One of the main causes of the fire was the plastic greens decorations used by the hotel.

The UNEP announced a campaign to beating plastic pollution. Here we found there's a long way to go. We launched a Reduce & Pick-up Plastic initiative to fight plastic pollution. The above news alerted us that the country's top management authorities should be aware of the danger of Plastic Greens - not only they bring environmental pollution, but also could become murderer in case a fire accident occurs.

Highly concerned, the CBCGDF is going to send an official letter to China's Ministry of Emergency Management, suggesting that the phenomenon of wildly-used plastic decoration in Chinese hotels should be highly alerted and regulated.
