On December 29^th, CBCGDF held a working meeting to discuss the requirements of CBCGDF Chairman Hu Deping at the previous Board meeting on further raising the CBCGDF fundraising and its capabilities and combined with it to study the related work in 2018. In the new year, the fundraising level of the Foundation will achieve a big leap.

At the CBCGDF Board meeting held on December 13^th, Chairman Hu Deping pointed out in his comprehensive guidance on the work of CBCGDF that, on the basis of CBCGDF’s big platform, the next step would be there is a “sharpen tool”, that is, the foundation must have fundraising, and need to raise sufficient funds to help carry out more meaningful activities, reflect social information, help people express their opinions, and so on. “Now the CBCGDF’s big tool is still relatively thin, and it is far from enough. This will need to work hard continuously.” Chairman Hu Deping expressed ardent expectations.

Founded in 1985, CBCGDF was formerly known as the China Milu deer Foundation. In 1992, the focus of the Foundation’s work was further developed into “Biodiversity Conservation”. Since then, around 2009, CBCGDF has been with the times, and once again added the important content of “green development” in the key work, and the name of the foundation has been updated to the current name. especially after the implementation of the new “Charity Law of the People’s Republic of China”, CBCGDF was one the first public welfare foundations to obtain public offering qualifications.

According to the rules of a foundation, public funds are an important support for the development of various business. With the advent of the E-era, the CBCGDF fundraising department has been actively working and closely interacting with colleagues from other NGO organizations at home and abroad. In the fields of “China Conservation Area for something at somewhere” (CCAfa), endangered species such as pangolins protection and so on, a large amount of funds has been raised to promote CBCGDF work on biodiversity conservation and green development.

“Fundraising is an approach of advocacy. It is a kind of communication and agitation of the public welfare advocates and projects of its own organization. It calls for more people to join the biodiversity conservation and green development cause in China, and it is also the important basis of the organization’s development. We must open up our mind, and jointly integrate more forces to work together for China’s biodiversity conservation and green development.” At the working meeting, the relevant head of CBCGDF fully affirmed that compared with the previous years, the work has made great progress. He also emphasized that in the future, everyone must also brainstorm and actively study the public fundraising rules of each public platform and continue to advocate and influence the public to support the green development cause. In addition, enterprises are a very active force in social development. CBCGDF will actively cooperate with various enterprises in the future fundraising work and carry out flexible and diverse forms of cooperation to jointly promote China’s biodiversity conservation and green economy development.
